Tell us about projects that you enjoyed or that you're proud of.

I absolutely love my work, so any project where the artist responds with 'it sounds just like it did in my head' is a very rewarding and enjoyable thing for me.

As far as any one project goes, it's hard to look past working on DJ Shadow's last LP, 'The Mountain Will Fall'. Having grown up listening to his early stuff, it was a wonderful personal milestone to be able to work on what he's doing now. Similarly, to work on the Endtroducing 20th anniversary remixes felt special - I've been listening to Prince Paul's music since I was a kid, I'm still buzzing about having worked on his remix.

I honestly wouldn't know how to narrow this down, so I'll throw out some names that come to mind. Nothing to do with my work by the way, these people are all just doing brilliant music, regardless of style.

Astrophonica, Bleep Bloop, G Jones, DJ Shadow, anything related to Pink Lizard (get the Mother Cyborg LP), Peer Pressure, EPROM, Signal Life, Flexout, Diffrent/Sweetbox (get the Sense MC LP).... I could go on and on.

How did you first hear of DMGAudio?

I don't honestly remember - but I remember trying and liking EQuality very much. I then met Dave completely randomly at a festival. A chat with him, and you know that he's someone who lives and breathes audio.

How would you describe our plugins?

Simple: they're the best - the best-sounding plugins on the market, with immense depth and flexibility. This can make the learning curve quite steep on some of them, but the recent Track range addresses this very well.

What are your favourite DMGAudio plugins and how do they integrate with your workflow?

Essence is - and I've said this many times now - the single best plugin ever made. I don't say that lightly. I must use 40 instances a day, easily. It can do so much; it's way more than just a de-esser. It's a highly flexible dynamic EQ, a great modern-sounding fullband compressor, transient shaper, width adjuster....... and so on and so on.

Limitless is also the best sounding limiter on the market. Other limiters have a sound; Limitless sounds like the music. It's not for the faint-hearted as it is very, very deep. But the more I use it, the better it gets.

Are there any tips for using our plugins that you’d like to share?

Try Essence with no split EQ, but with the sidechain filtering, for a great modern-sounding-tight-and-snappy-as-hell compressor.

What are you hoping to see from us in the future?

Personally, I want intelligent lookahead on Limitless.

In the grander scheme of things, I'd be interested to see DMG's take on some kind of DAW. I'd expect that it would blow the competition out of the water.
